A lifelong resident of Rhode Island, Alan had more than 35 years of experience in construction while running a family construction business. At the same time, he worked for 25 years in the human services, healthcare management, and facilities maintenance fields.

Alan has been a member of the Phoenix House New England team for over ten years, first in the area of direct client care and later making the transition to the Facilities Department, where he was responsible for the Southern New England region.  He also served as Director of the Rhode Island Council on Alcoholism and Other Drug Disorders, a sober living agency within Phoenix House New England, and was responsible for a 24-hour statewide hotline. He has since returned to full-time Facilities responsibility, with oversight of all Phoenix House New England’s facilities and related areas.
