Exeter Residential Program for Women

Program

Overview

A safe, welcoming center where women work toward independence and build the foundation for a brighter future.

Located on a peaceful rural campus in southern Rhode Island, the Ottmar Residential Program provides gender-specific drug and alcohol addiction treatment for women in a physically and psychologically safe environment with the goal of helping women develop trust, self-esteem, and personal responsibility. Treatment includes group counseling; life-skills training; education on substance use disorder effects, relapse prevention skills; and participation in Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, and other appropriate self-help groups. Phoenix House also offers individualized aftercare plans, which are essential in establishing long-term recovery.
